Dr. David Miller is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, practicing in Commack, NY (western Suffolk County). Dr. Miller is kind and compassionate. Every patient is given a thorough exam and all procedures are explained. Any questions are answered before the surgery is performed. Dr. Miller takes his own emergency calls when the office is closed and can be reached any time through his 24-hour answering service. Every effort is made to see emergencies the same day.
David M. Miller, DDS, can perform all oral surgery procedures, including:
- Tooth Extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth)
- Dental Implants
- Bone Grafts
- Biopsies
- Apicoectomies
- Exposures of Impacted Teeth
- Repair of Jaw Fractures
The patient has the option of having the procedures performed with only local anesthesia ("novocaine"), or supplemented with nitrous oxide ("sweet air") or intravenous general anesthesia.
Dr. Miller is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He works with the dental students every other Monday afternoon. He is on staff at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and the North Shore Surgi-Center.
Dr. Miller has treated patients of all ages, including infants. He also treats handicapped children and adults, always giving them reassurance and gentle care.
